Gabe Kapler: ‘I don’t plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead till I really feel better in regards to the route of our nation’

Talking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I don't plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead till I really feel higher in regards to the course of our nation."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her youngsters. They blocked parents trying to organize to cost in to cease the shooter, together with a father who realized his daughter was murdered while he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are more vital than our youngsters's freedom to go to school without having bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the lack of delivery of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I may have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that when you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let it be known by protest. The house of the brave should encourage this."

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Sport 4 of the Warriors' sequence against the Dallas Mavericks, instead raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's shooting.

"Within the last 10 days, we've had elderly Black folks killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now now we have children murdered in school," Kerr advised reporters firstly of the press conference.

"When are we going to do one thing? I am tired. I'm so uninterested in getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated households that are on the market ... I am uninterested in the moments of silence. Enough."
