Speaking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going ahead until I feel higher about the course of our country."
In a blog post, Kapler questioned whether the nation's management is committed to representing its individuals's greatest pursuits and whether the USA is truly "the land of the free and the house of the courageous.""We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. "I am not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I may have demonstrated what I learned from my dad, that while you're dissatisfied with your country, you let it be recognized by means of protest. The home of the courageous ought to encourage this."
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action in opposition to gun violence in the US.Kerr refused to speak about basketball ahead of Sport 4 of the Warriors' series towards the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence in the wake of Tuesday's capturing.
