I know I love mismatched furniture! One of the ways I’ve been looking to accomplish this is by using slip covers! Amazon has some great ones with a variety of colors and patterns! (And very affordable! 😉)

When I was a child every house in our extended family had the pictures hung too high because our dads were over 6ft tall. Was at eye level for them, though.

I was wondering if you help people with advice for specific areas in the homes, via Zoom?
I had to hang my art high up above the sofa because I could clearly imagine our guests' children getting up on the sofa and trying to touch that art with sticky, chocolate covered fingers!! One child once got a hold of a pencil and drew on our newly painted walls. He would probably have drawn on that art too, if it was hung lower down.
Becoming a huge fan, have gotten a lot really good ideas without having to spend a lot of money!!!

I personally stopped using coffee tables in early 2000. They just get junked up, and my legs get all bruised up. They are just an eyesore so many different ways to me personally. Society told me I needed to have a coffee table I got rid of it never bought another one and it was so liberating. No matter what house or apartment I've lived in without a coffee table has been so freeing. I still have side tables they don't match and it makes it a little bit more unique.
I have worked with many photo stylist on advertising and catalog shoots including Nieman Marcus, Pottery Barn, Horchow and others and I never realized their tricks even though as a shooter you get to be pretty good at styling. I have gone minimalist with a kinda mid century contemporary with my Dallas shotgun house that is open concept. <<< see profile photo of my renno-ed kitchen and living space thumbnail.
