Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to sell damaged automotive with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the authorized alcohol restrict after a minimum of five people called 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Important Street exit. They say the crash precipitated a flat tire and the automotive to smoke, however the driver saved going.

Different callers say the motive force was all over the highway and now lacking a front tire.

They are saying he eventually stopped at a car dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”

Workers advised police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and virtually fell a number of occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath take a look at.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing a number of prices.

He's the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
