BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "college shooter" had been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Safety announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of charges.

Hanson allegedly placed the signs around the communities, the Division of Security stated, but they determined there isn't a credible risk right now.
The New Hampshire Department of Security is investigating signs that read 'college shooter!' which were found in a number of communities New Hampshire Department of SecurityOne such sign was written on a paper plate. The protection division launched a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation."
Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of legal threatening and three misdemeanor charges including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
No other suspects have been charged right now.
