Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of businesses responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with a number of other agencies in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was found near the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
