Afghanistan’s supreme leader and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s ladies to wear the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives for the reason that Taliban seized energy.
“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's traditional and respectful,” stated a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was launched by Taliban authorities at a function in Kabul.
“These ladies who are usually not too outdated or young should cover their face, besides the eyes, as per sharia directives, as a way to avoid provocation when meeting males who will not be mahram (adult close male kinfolk),” the decree stated.
It added that if girls had no vital work exterior it was “higher they keep at home.”
During their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed comparable restrictions on girls.
