DALLAS - The high court will allow a wrongful death lawsuit to proceed towards the city of Dallas and 4 law enforcement officials.

The family of a man who died in police custody in 2016 sued.

Tony Timpa referred to as police for help as he had a drug and psychological health disaster.

The city fought against releasing body digital camera video and whit it did come out it was obvious why. It confirmed the officers mocking the dying man.

The city of Dallas argued the officers are legally protected against lawsuits.

The Supreme Court upheld a federal appeals court’s ruling that will permit the case to proceed.
