The chapter filings of Infowars, Jail Planet TV and IW Health last month delayed the lawsuits filed in Texas and Connecticut. Jones has already misplaced the defamation lawsuits, and the filings came per week before a jury in Texas was set to start contemplating how much cash Jones should pay the households of victims within the Sandy Hook Elementary Faculty capturing.
On Friday, attorneys within the chapter case stated the households shall be eliminated as collectors, and Infowars and Prison Planet TV will probably be removed as defendants within the Texas and Connecticut defamation circumstances.
The state circumstances would then continue towards Jones and his largest money-making firm, Free Speech Systems, neither of which filed for chapter. It was not immediately clear when these cases will resume.
The lawyers' comments came throughout a hearing in U.S. Chapter Courtroom in Texas. Kyung Lee, a lawyer for Jones' companies, said the bankruptcy case will continue because they produce other creditors.
A hearing, however, stays scheduled for May 27 on whether or not the chapter case should be dismissed. The Sandy Hook households have questioned the legitimacy of the filings, saying they had been meant solely to delay the defamation lawsuits — claims Jones' attorneys deny.
The taking pictures at Sandy Hook Elementary Faculty in Newtown, Connecticut, killed 20 kids and 6 educators.
The households of eight of the victims and an FBI agent who responded to school sued Jones, Infowars and others, saying they've been subjected to harassment and dying threats from Jones’ followers because of the hoax conspiracy. Jones has since stated he believes the capturing did occur.
