BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "faculty shooter" were present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees.
Guy Hanson. New Hampshire State PoliceAn increased amount of police officers have been positioned at faculties within the communities as a result of the indicators. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.
Hanson allegedly placed the indicators across the communities, the Department of Security said, but they determined there isn't any credible threat at this time.
The New Hampshire Division of Safety is investigating signs that learn 'school shooter!' which had been present in multiple communities New Hampshire Department of SafetyOne such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety department launched a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation."
Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of prison threatening and three misdemeanor costs including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and legal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.
No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
