Man arrested in connection with “school shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "school shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of prices. 

An elevated quantity of cops had been positioned at colleges within the communities on account of the signs. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the signs around the communities, the Division of Security stated, however they decided there is no such thing as a credible threat at the moment.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The safety department released a photograph of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of legal threatening and three misdemeanor prices together with false report back to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at the moment.
