Talking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I do not plan on popping out for the anthem going ahead until I feel better in regards to the direction of our nation."

I wish that I may have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied with your nation, you let it be identified via protest. The house of the brave ought to encourage this."
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion towards gun violence in the United States.Kerr refused to discuss basketball forward of Sport 4 of the Warriors' series towards the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative raising his voice as he railed against gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"When are we going to do something? I am tired. I'm so tired of getting up right here and providing condolences to the devastated households which can be on the market ... I am tired of the moments of silence. Enough."
