The family of an 11-year-old woman who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother said the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the taking pictures.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and she or he was simply crying, like 'I believe it simply hit Miah. I feel the whole lot got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two lecturers killed. Her friends and classmates were also focused.

Rivera said that's when Miah went into survival mode.
