CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The parents of a 6-year-old marathoner are speaking out after they say little one protecting companies paid their household an unannounced visit and questioned their kids at dwelling.
Ben and Kami Crawford shared a photo on Instagram Sunday purportedly of one among their children being interviewed by a CPS staffer. In the accompanying caption, they wrote partially, "Yesterday Baby Protective Services (CPS) arrived at our residence unannounced and interviewed our kids, mother and father & grandmother. It is a scary course of as a result of usually youngsters are interrogated away from parents, in opposition to their will, and their answers decide the agency's legal right to remove the children."
The Crawfords made headlines final week after they let their children, together with their son Rainier, 6, run the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati on May 1 and shared it on-line. Campbell County, Kentucky, District Legal professional Steve Franzen confirmed to "Good Morning America" that child providers had visited the Crawfords, but mentioned no determination had been made yet within the investigation.
Ben and Kami Crawford addressed critics' accusations in a prolonged Instagram video Saturday.
"The true stuff that we received accused of was dragging Rainier, like physically dragging him on the marathon course after mile 13 and throughout the finish line," Ben Crawford said.
"If you happen to guys have seen our end line image, all of us held arms for like the final probably, like, .2, .3 miles," he added. "We talked about it ahead of time, like that's what we'll do."
I do not know who wants to listen to this however a six 12 months previous can't fathom what a marathon will do to them physically. A six 12 months old does not perceive what embracing distress is. A six year who is "struggling physically" doesn't notice they have the best to cease and will.

"I do not know if I needs to be indignant. I wish to believe that people are doing the best that they can. They don't seem to be trying to damage our life or, , they probably are legit afraid for our children. But also, it's like, where's the line?" Ben Crawford asked.
"I really feel like we're doing what we feel passionate about," Kami Crawford stated. "It would be form of tragic to cease all that."
Consultants say a marathon is a severe physical feat for anyone and it may well take a toll on a child.
"If a younger child have been to run a marathon, I'm nervous about electrolyte abnormalities, nausea, vomiting, heatstroke, all these indicators and symptoms that will not be that clear in a younger little one," Dr. Alok Patel previously advised "GMA."
Children could have a more durable time recognizing warning indicators of dehydration, exhaustion or other crimson flags. Parents and caregivers should consult with a baby's pediatrician before a baby is permitted to engage in any strenuous exercise.
